The contents of this small format book of 100 pages started life as a series of booklets that were given to me by the author. Each booklet dealt with a vital subject in relation to local church truth: Baptism; The Lord's Supper; Symbols of Glory and Honour; Godly Overseers, and Scriptural Church Discipline. These subjects form the individual chapters of this book.
Adam Thropay bases his teaching firmly upon Scripture and presents it in clear language. While the book is not exhaustive in detail, it covers the absolute essentials of local church life. Of all the books on this subject that I have read over the years, this one is top of the list for clarity of thought and accuracy to Scripture. No one, no matter how mature in the things of God, could read this book and not gain something from it.
