PRIESTHOOD

A BIBLICAL SURVEY

THE THEME OF PRIESTHOOD runs through the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. Along the way, it intertwines with every major area of Biblical doctrine. A proper understanding of priesthood is essential for a proper understanding of humanity, of the work of Christ, and of our responsibilities as Christians.

This volume traces the development of priesthood through Scripture. It considers some important questions about our understanding of God's unfolding revelation and interacts with some recent scholarship on Biblical priesthood, while also stressing the important practical implications that the Bible's presentation of priesthood has for us.
